    Nice pick up.

Great work on the conservation and thanks for the photos showing the process.

I wonder where it was from 1825-2018. It seems it has been held well from collection to collection.

Please post the grade here if you ever end up sending it in.

I will, but it's either an AU or UNC details no matter what.

It is still worth quite a bit more than what you paid for it.

Looks like a good cherrypick!! I don't know much about this series unfortunately. I'm slowly working on expanding my knowledge of varieties one series at a time. :)

The variety is common, but the condition isn’t

Great coin man. 1814... even details it’s a blast to imagine how it got that way. Could have fallen out of someone’s pocket while they fleed the capital, or been flicked into the mud by a British soldier after they torched the Library of Congress. We’ll never know but that’s a great piece of history and a solid score no doubt.

Nice grab, seems legit time. Honestly, it would’ve very difficult to imitate the surface corrosion to look like it does and I work with exotic metals and calculate corrosive loss due to chemical attack everyday.

Nope, those happened in August and the 1814 cents weren't struck until September and not turned over to the Mint Treasurer until October 27th.
