Entry post. I collect Elagabalus, especially his coins of Eastern mintage. I have a lot of references, too. But I don't have that coin and that book and would love to have them. They'd be great additions and fit the theme of my collection nicely.
NOT an entry post. Once again, great idea, @lordmarcovan, and wonderful gift for someone. But, I wouldn't read the book, and, while there are a few ancient coins that I'm gaining some interest in, this is not one of them, yet. I certainly would not turn down someone offering to give me a coin, but I'd much rather it go to someone that would really appreciate it. Thank you for all you do for CT.
Entry post Normally I’d stay out of this and let a newer collector have it but I can’t resist an interesting book. It was a great SS plan, too bad it didn’t work ( but good for us )
Entry post I’ve thought about focusing on Elagabalus coins because he was a bit strange, worshiping that meteorite and all. Thanks for the chance.
Hey, @TIF - there's your opening to trot out the classic "A Boy and His Stone" story again! Pleeeease? Edit: ah, here we go. I just found the old CU version of the epic.
Well if you're going to force me... The thread is here: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/ancients-a-boy-and-his-stone.254886/ ...but the diorama is the best part . It actually exists... or will exist again once I replace the hurricane-damaged parts. Elagabartlus, his Little Ponies, and the shopping cart survived. The drink umbrellas and background/floor photos will have to be replaced. Entry post. Yours truly needs to expand his horizons. @lordmarcovan You are one most generous fellow! (Not too bad of a moderator, either.)
Entry post. Looks like a great holiday break read, been looking for a good book and who wouldn't want an Elagabalus coin and book
Love it every time I see it. The perfectly strange mash up of Bart Simpson as Elagabalus being the cherry on top of the artistic absurdity of a mad genius!
Entry Post! Wow, This is awesome, an ancient coin giveaway! Good luck to everyone and thank you lordmarcovan for having all of these fantastic giveaway's.
