this is a 1921 0r 1931 wheat penny. but dont know what is going on here.can someone please help me

    its a wheat penny so 21 or 31 is the only two i think that fit.

    Put it in acetone and maybe some of the black goo will come off.
    Then look at the coin under a bright light and tilt it around while looking at it through an eye loupe. You'll see if it is a 2 or a 3.
