Hi everyone! I’ve never been on here before but wanted to post a picture of this penny. Not sure if it is an error with 2 of the same date on it or not. I really apprecrate your feedback! Thank you so much! It also looks like God is on the penny twice, as well.

Show the Reverse side also. There are clues there!

Could be double struck within collar.
I also see a faint LIBERTY and very faint profile.

I'd like to see the reverse as well. Why can't I find anything cool like that?

That looks good. At first I wasn't seeing other marks but IN GOD got hit also.
Took a while, I see the second LIBERTY now.
    A keeper.

Very nice indeed and the kind that @Fred Weinberg might like to have.

The date bothers me.. If the first strike was normal the date wouldn't be so close to the rim.

The angles of LIBERTY and 1996 seem to be the same, but why aren't other features shown from the second strike? Lincoln, etc.

Why aren't there some features from the first strike of Lincoln's bust showing on the second strike? On double struck coins features from the first strike tend to be crushed by the fields of the second strike, but details from the first that are in the detail areas of the second strike tend to survive better.

It almost looks to me like it is in some kind of soft plastic holder that was pressed against the coin for awhile. Now the cent has shifted position and we are seeing the coin and the image pressed into the plastic.
