    Okay, that does it - Edward the Confessor, minted by “OÐBOREN ON EO” - I’m not sure which mint is “EO” - perhaps York (Eboracum in Latin)? The SCBC Number is 1183. Someone else might be able to chime in, but this is a type of coin I would love to own someday.

    I’m a little confused as to why the portrait is blank but there seems to be no wear on the legend. It makes me question its authenticity, but I’m no expert on these.

    May I ask where you got it?
