    I don't see anything that jumps out as fake. It's been damaged and harshly cleaned. Ask for the size and weight to be sure.

    Hard to tell from the pics. I can see that the fields have been scrubbed extensively, it could have been done to disguise casting lumps and roughness but I can't say definitely without seeing the coin in hand.

    I looked in the Mega RED book and does not mention copper coins, just says silver, but don't quote me on that, most were melted in 1900 when Hawaii became a territory. If I were you do some more research time is running short ,there are others. Check the seller out and see feedback and what has been sold. GOOD LUCK

    The seller confirmed the copper listing is a mistake and it is silver. I am now the proud owner. I have a friend who has a scale and detector that can look at it.

    That one still has several days to go and looks to be a higher grade (although the newer PCI holders aren’t the most respected in terms of grade). So it will more than likely sell for a higher price than the coin in the first post.
