This is just horrible........ https://www.ebay.com/itm/90-Silver-...oins-Replica/372506050311?hash=item56bb173f07
There was a time in my life I would have appreciated such a coin to plug that empty hole in my book that I couldn't afford to plug. Unfortunately the sad reality these days is that this $28.00 copy will pass to somebody that will misrepresent it as the real thing. And the muck grows thicker....
just surfing around and saw heading, thinking why create a heading to bring me down I'm here to play and help anyone who wants to see if this hobby their evaluating is what they want to go to relax with. now a business venture? no words or advice. now I have to find my happy spot again. cheer up, ma lady its coming.....happy turkey day.....baby steps... ....
He clearly states it is a replica, several times. I wouldn't say it's nearly as horrible as many other listings that try to pass it off as the real thing.
There may be some small hope. There's no guarantee this legislation will have any teeth or if it will apply to counterfeit classic coins but we can hope. If you have a slabbed, authentic key date coin and you don't want to crack it out for an album, the rules state (by which I mean I state) that you are entitled to use a fake or altered coin in your album as long as you counterstamp it either with the word "COPY," the letter "R," or the serial number of the slab that contains the real deal.
Ha!! I did exactly that with my 16-D Merc. The slab resides in my safe deposit box. The hole is plugged with an early counterfeit (added D). Sticky note on the front of the book stating it is phony as a three dollar bill.
That's not totally safe niether! https://www.coinworld.com/news/us-coins/2018/08/chinese-starter-kit-for-fake-pcgs-holders.all.html https://www.pcgs.com/news/counterfeit-pcgs-holders
On the Bay EVERYTHING from China is FAKE! Coins currency everything and if it certified those certs are fake as well. I reported above item. I doubt it will amount to any action from eBay. I report these a lot an only see a few listings pulled. Often they reappear under a different user id.
