PCGS forum deletes member accounts

1804 dollars aren’t graded in the truest sense of the word, they’re ranked. NGC was the one who upgraded some of them and they left the grade for the cross. TDN has explained it a few times in regards to them.

I believe from his comments he would disagree with you about the 69 trade dollar that he tried to buy for years. Comments like yours actually lead him to shut down his thread sharing it

Laura is a special person. I won't buy from her. Her attacks on Bill Jones were over the top. She got really mad when Bill would not argue and attack her back. He has too much class to get sucked into her madness. Anyone else would have been banned.

 

You missed many many nuked threads if you really believe that. A direct attack on legend was what brought her out

He didn't attack her or her company. The claim is unfounded. I remember the thread you're referencing as I saved a PDF of it after litigation was threatened should Bill ever need it. For the record, there was nothing remotely actionable in that thread.

 

Actually I think TDN agreed with me. Bruce is willing to look beyond plastic and stickers, and doesn't have Laura's obsessive PCGS/CAC only mentality. I applaud that. If you pay attention to Laura she buys non-PCGS non-CAC coins and crosses them (even if it means a slight downgrade) to potentially sticker in new plastic. She's a hypocrite in that regard IMHO.

 

That’s your opinion. He did attack Legend and had attacked CAC for a long time before she finally spoke up. Accusing someone of selling over priced coins and using a noncomparable is an attack on a business. You can feel however you want I’m not going to argue this anymore

She’s not a hypocrite by downgrading something to what she feels is the proper grade. That’s adtually backing up everything she says

 

I'm not going to argue with you, but saying you should only buy PCGS-CAC only and pretending the rest are junk when you're cherry picking other coins is a bit hypocritical. Apparently you see no problem with a "do as I say and not as I do" mentality.

I also think she has one heck of a conflict of interest since she recently owned (and may still own) part of CAC (or at least that is what she claimed in her pleadings in a New Jersey court case). Ditto for sidekick (a/k/a TDN).

Bruce deleted his PF69 Trade Dollar thread because of one specific poster that was constantly making snarky remarks. It was the same poster that was responsible for causing the massive banning that is the subject of this thread (Oil of Olay or something like that).

 

You mean the fraudulent case dismissed against her? They sold their holdings but I guess if anyone ever sued you no matter the outcome we should hold that against you too?

 

No. She was the plaintiff, and she was absolutely correct in her position in the case I'm referencing. The only reason I mentioned the court case was to provide an off the cuff citation (i.e. my contention about CAC ownership is supported by the public record and her public statements).

 

Guess you missed the tread where several of them disclosed including other posters they had sold their position.

Don’t worry though. As a younger collector more and more each day this forum convinces me the best thing I can do is sell every coin holding I have and get away from the salty negativity of collecting

 

I believe TDN liquidated his interests. I have never seen Laura contend the same. The most recent data I can find suggests that she had an interest at the same time she was spewing her normal talking points. In my opinion, when you are rabidly promoting a product you should disclose any financial interest that you or a closely held entity has or has had in recent time when doing something especially when you hold yourself out as an expert opining on the market.

She was the one who said it from what I recall. Same with coljessup. The start up costs was one of the reasons the fights started when someone was spouting off at the mouth about them. She is an expert at picking quality that isn’t debatable. She doesn’t need me to defend her either as her reputation speaks for itself so if you wanna go after her by all means do it I’m stepping out
