is this 1893s real?????

    The date looks wrong, especially the "3", so my guess is that it's not the real thing. If it is listed for sale on Ebay or elsewhere, please post a link - thanks.

    its a chinese dealer selling his wares so thats what got my hopes up of it being a fake why would someone sell me a 1893s for $50??

    looks like an altered date to me. I would say it is not real.

    my thought was thats an 8 cut to make it look liek a 3? is there something else too?

    Because it's not an 1893-S.

    And here's what's really high-larious... the 2x2 says MS64. I'm "honing my grading skills", and assuming it's actually a real Morgan (albeit altered), I would call it VF20.

    cai shen which is part of the sellers name is the god of prosperity and profit. probably a very fitting name they're using there. lol just thought i'd throw out there as food for thought.
