Anyone know anything about a 1917 Standing Liberty? I took the best pictures that I could.

This is not a series I collect, however, I’m suspicious of the surfaces on the obverse and reverse. They look porous, bubbled, and rippled, leading me to believe the coin has altered surfaces of some sort, however I am not 100 percent sure.

Double Die I know just enough to be dangerous

I'm going with a strike through on the reverse from what I can make out. A little added bonus to sweeten the deal if you're going to sell it.

I can't tell from these photos whether that business on the reverse at 7:00 is a gouge or a planchet problem. Given the rim disturbance at the corresponding position on the obverse, I'd lean toward the latter.

It does look harshly cleaned in these images, but I'm intrigued by that... crack?

I don't see anything that immediately trips my "fake" wires, but I'm always cautious with classic coins showing this much detail.

I just wanted other peoples opinion on the coin. I bought it for too much, as far as I can tell. Now there seems to be some sort of anomaly on the reverse that I had not seen before. Which probably makes it worth less than what I had thought.
