1973 D Lincoln Penny Error or Feeder Finger?

    I was told this was a Feeder Finger Damage but it is not indented it looks raised. Could someone explain this to me, I am a beginner and don't know much yet. Thank you

    Scratches on the Die would cause the marks on the Cent to look raised since the metal from the Planchet would flow into the scratches... Think about it

    Ok so it is a feeder scratch then, not an error?

    The raised mark on the Cent I believe would be considered an error from the feeder finger since it happened during the striking of the coin.
