How ordering a Mcdonalds sausage biscuit and a hashbrown landed me this beauty!

Last week I received a 1940-S Lincoln in XF cond. in change at my local supermarket...It happens a few times a year...kids raiding dad's dresser drawer or maybe even his penny collection?

Curious, why just buffalo nickle? I guess most collectors automatically know that it's an Indian Head. Up until now I referred to the speared buffalo nickles as buffalo nickles. I have two of those unfortunately you can't see any spear pierced through the poor thing but they are really nice grades.
Yes, things do happen for a reason. A split decision to go through drive through instead of waiting placed me at the drive through window at the right place and the right time. Love when that happens. Reminds me of a time I was buying lotto tickets and let an older gentlemen go before me. He ended up buying the same ticket I was there to purchase. I bought the next ticket and later that evening when I scratched it, It was a $500 dollar winner!

 

Open any book dedicated to coins and you will only see it called Buffalo Nickel -

Do you happen to work at McDonald's in Sacramento by any chance? Just kidding lol. Yeah people don't really look at change anymore. It gets thrown in the car ashtray , a jar, or God knows where else. Not me though, I look at every single coin.

OMG I thought I was the only one who did that. I use to give the exact change to avoid getting change. Today, the total opposite. If the total is $6.04 I love giving that seven bucks!
