20181107_212232.jpg Hello all. I'm somewhat new at this so please be gentle.
I have a 1994 d Lincoln penny that appears as if the date and mint mark are doubled. My first inclination was to say it was machine doubling. Although it it doesn't seem to be reducing but adding to the Mark's size. So please let me know what you think . I havnt found any other verified ddo's for this year and mint so I'm guessing my first thought was correct, but hey you never know right?
What I'm referring to is seen the most on the right side of the 9,9 and 4 of the date and on the right side of the D mint mark. I also see an extra line on the bottom right of the bust. There are some clear MD around his face and on LIBERTY. Nothing more to note.
    Ok thank you. 20181107_212549.jpg 20181107_212549.jpg 20181107_212541.jpg 20181107_212232.jpg 20181107_212541.jpg 20181107_212432.jpg 20181107_211545.jpg 20181107_211853.jpg 20181107_212432.jpg 20181107_212232.jpg

Your Cent is a Copper Plated Zinc Cent
What you have found is considered DDD - Die Deterioration Doubling
Nothing to do with a True Doubled Die and considered worthless doubling.
Common issue on copper plated zinc cents

Here is some great information - http://www.error-ref.com/die-deterioration-doubling-incuse/

    I hope I was gentle enough ;)
