I thought this was cute, he is always wanting to sit on my lap and look at coins. Today he wanted to use the loupe. This is too funny. He is looking at my 1916 D Dime. I'd say he has good taste in coins! =)

He already has a proof set silver and clad from his birth year 2005 and now he has taken to my lincoln bucket and he found a nice 1955 D Lincoln in AU that we both put in the 2x2 together and wanted to use the stapler. Then he scribbled on the front bunch of swilrly marks. He was writing on it like I do to the other coins. I put the date on the back of the coin so he could see it in 20 years. I think it will be neat for him down the road.

Its so funny because he has watched me do coins since he was born, I used to sit him in his little car seat rocker thing and rock him with my foot while surfing cointalk and ebay. Last year my wife gave him one of my coins and my loupe and said What does daddy do and he would put that darn loupe to his eye. I started laughing so hard I almost couldn't stop.

    Great story! Thanks for sharing.

My YN doesn't seem to be quite so Y after that, though!

That is really cool, I wish my dad would have got me into it when I was young. It's funny but I got my dad into coins. Sure I probably wouldn't be caught dead around coins when I was in my teens but I think that they will always come back to it when they are in their early 20's, because then they can see different aspects of the hobby. Now I can talk with my dad about coins for hours and we enjoy it so much.
