The Reverse of your Quarter was put to a grinder and grounded off.
Not a Mint Error but damage :yack:

How? Only the person that created it would know. They did it after it left the US Mint.
So we call it PMD - Post Mint Damage

Thanks for your quick response! The center is indented with a circular imprint. Appears to have been struck with force... Out of curiosity... Other than a grinder as mentioned before. How would this damage occur?

As I stated only the person who created that appearance would know. It was not struck that way at the US Mint. Not any normal nor forceful strike.

You can clearly see an upraised rim on the obverse. Before a blank planchet is struck both sides have an upraised rim. When you see the upraised rim missing that is a clear indication of alteration to the coin.

Only the person who did it knows, but it would not surprise me if somewhere out there is another "head" with an opposite grinding so as to have been glued together to make a two-headed quarter.

    Sorry disprove the grinder theory.

I believe I have the tail half of the quarter. The center of mine is raised. Saying this and if it is a match then that should prove the grinder theory.
