    Hello all,

I'm back after a long time without internet access at home.

Past week got my first coins from Mongolia and can't find the year on them. According the Krause catalog they are from 1994 (1 year type). But there is no information about a distinct numeric system used by Mongolia (like Israel).
Also i got other coins (KM 21 and 28) from Mongolia and the year is perfectly identificable.
    Any information about?

    Thanks in advance :)

Goossen, have you had a look on the obverse of the coins? Mongolia uses the standard Christian calendar,as the Mongolians are both Buddhists & Christians. What has the weather been like over there in Asuncion? Who is the current President of Paraguay?

Aidan Work, i can't find the year on the obverse; there is a script that can be interpreted as the year, but i'm sure it's not latin writting. Maybe cirilic (not sure if it's well spelled) ?

Weather here is quite hot now, about 35-40 ºC.! And our president now is Nicanor Duarte Frutos.

Goossen, the Mongolians use a modified form of the Cyrillic alphabet.I haven't seen any Mongolian coins
that have been issued since the end of the Communist era,but I have seen banknotes.Thank you for telling us who the current President of Paraguay. The weather in Paraguay is very similar to
that of some parts of Australia.Just the other week,
I saw a huge Paraguayan silver coin - a 300 Guaranies with Alfredo Stroessner on it.It was dated 1968.Are you familiar with such a coin?

    Aidan.

The 1994 date is in Mongolian script (see Krause) and is below the national symbol (Soyombo-emblem). It kind of looks like a stylized DCCO.
