1966 quarter weights 5.4 grams

    I found this quarter it sounds different when dropped and looks different color compared to my other 1966 quarter....and suggest

    Probably environmental damage or wear. FYI, pictures would help.

    Over 50 years of circulation wear. Without pictures it's very hard to say what's going on.

    Your coin appears based on your photo to be environmental damage.

    They look like normal Quarters that the Clad Layers were affected do to Environmental exposure. I find dozens like yours when I Metal Detect -
