Another 1918 woody ?

    Joy, I for one love old woodie cents. If that is one, then it is the most dramatic variation I ever saw. I wonder if at some point that old cent was plated and the plating is wearing off?

    Well I did a scratch test and the tone goes deeper and yes this one has me stumped

    100 year old Cent.. It's been through a lot.
    Environmental damage, corrosion.
    Not a pretty one.
    But I wouldn't consider it an improperly mixed alloy. To light in the coloring.
    IMHO
