    Nice one.

I have a few of the bronze, one goldine, and am searching for a silver. They used to be more reasonable - prices have gine up lately.

Several yaers ago I sonehow got a TIN example of this coin (50 struck) for about $35. Bashlow made a number of off-metal coins in quantities of 50 each.

It would have been a beautiful coin had the war gone the other way, and these became an issue coin. The design on the rear wreath is so symbolic and detailed, very nice. Ive gotten a few more, one will get a few years of pocket wear, along with a 2002 ase Im "circulating" in my pocket. Did you bid on the silver on ebay recently closed?

I actually haven't bid on a silver in a while. I will have to jumo in and get it doen one of these days, though.

I recall many years ago when Littleton Coin Co. was selling these Bashlows - probably one of the only real bargains they sold (based on today's value, anyway).
