I have a coin here on front it says S: Georgius EQ Vitum Patronus with a Knight on a horse fighting a Dragon The Spear is pointed IN the dragons mouth . On the back it says Imtempestate Securitas and there is a Boat with 4 guys on it the sail is Facing right and the pole to hold the sail is on the left side. This coin DOES NOT have a date on it, It looks this coin was once gold? but since then has turned a coppery color maybe even iron. If you have ANY information what so ever on this coin Like where it was made, how many were made, and how much it is worth it Would be appreciated. Thanks
Not really ... Seems to be a medal featuring St. George; there is some general info on this page: http://www.clanntartan.org/articles/charms.html Another picture of such a medal is here: http://www.numismatics.hu/penzdetektiv8.htm Scroll down to #28. There is also a fairly long explanation ... in Hungarian, though, which I don't understand. Christian
