Available in a digital format?

    G'Day fellow ancient coin fanatics,

Can anybody tell me if any of the coin catalogs with definitive information on the BCD collection are available digitally? I noticed an Ebay auction with three of the catalogs has just finished (image below).

Paper is not a very durable substance in my tropical environment, so digital or scanned copies are best for me.

I remember printing out a file for archiving, decades ago, and daydreaming about the day when we'd see digital storage as more permanent than paper. I guess that day comes sooner for some of us than for others.

Sorry I can't be of help with your particular reference, but I wonder if LHS themselves might have any information for you...?

It is possible the the CNG one that had a lot of Thessaly is available as a PDF. I can't recall.

I have the BCD auction catalogs except Olympia. For a while I had an eBay search for it and I never got a valid hit listing it.

    Ed,
Here is the recent auction notice on Ebay. As far as I can tell, the BCD "cattle dogs" (catalogs) did not sell. It might be possible to contact the seller and make a deal.

Often postage from the US through Ebay is the deal killer down here in Oz. There are a few cases where the cost of posting is more then the item for sale!

If anyone out there has digital scans of any of the BCD sales catalogs, I'd be grateful for scanned copies. From what I understand, even BCD himself only has one original hard copy of LHS number 96. Many of us here have at least one ex BCD coin in their collection. I'm surprised there haven't been any reprints, or even better, a compilation of these catalogs.

    G'Day Burton,

Thank you for those URLs; very much appreciated.

For anyone interested in what is probably an excellent deal on three out of print BCD collection catalogs, that set of three (including the hard to find LHS No. 96) that was being auctioned on Ebay has been relisted here

I'd love to buy them, but current exchange rates and transfer charges have put me out of the market.
