troll2 /trōl/ noun noun: troll; plural noun: trolls 1. a person who makes a deliberately offensive or provocative online post.
Wikipedia... "In Internet slang, a troll (/troʊl, trɒl/) is a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet to distract and sow discord by posting inflammatory and digressive,[1]extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses[2] and normalizing tangential discussion,[3] whether for the troll's amusement or a specific gain." Intent is the key...it was for EVERYONE'S amusement, although perhaps not a skillful effort.
I don't. Sure he could have worded the original post a little differently but he said what he was doing and why so quick to judge and condemn?
Thanks for that. I certainly didn't mean to be provocative, but some took it that way. I really wanted to play up how we have many who come here without doing even minimal research into what they have except maybe what they see on YouTube or a shopping show. Secondary to that, I also wanted to see if anyone else might have or seen the magazine where I found it. I had to make sure I literally did not say I owned it, but I suppose I could have worded it better.
