Hello to all. Any thoughts on a "7" where the "T" should be in Liberty?

First off, I just wanted to say hello to all. I have been watching and I am new to the forum and find looking through my coins very interesting and fun. One coin of interest is a 1981 penny with a 7 in place of the "T" in Liberty. The 7 also seems to be a bit doubled. Any suggesti Screenshot_2018-10-31-20-46-50.png ons on it?

Welcome to Coin Talk. It looks like someone pushed over the metal to make it look like a seven. Copper is soft and the metal is easily moved. Stay with us as there is much to be learned from most members.

Correct.. The T took a hit
There is no reason for the US Mint to replace the T with a 7
    Not a Mint Error

    Welcome to Cointalk
As stated your coin appears to have taken a hit at some point. (Not A Mint Error)
