While I'm not sure of its intended purpose, I'd say the one in the link is contemporary and original. Take note of its high rarity index. Yours is likely a modern replica and in which case it would be of nominal value.

How can I tell if it's a replica or original? Also, what would be the value of both, replica & original? They are part of a collection of coins that are of a similar age, would it be possible for the replica to be old, too?

Can anyone point us in the right direction, regarding the value of this coin?

I can tell by looking at it that it's not terribly old and most certainly not contemporary. Expand the picture of the contemporary one in the link and you'll see that the token shows its age, was more crudely struck, and has been around for a while. Yours, by contrast, is way too neatly made and is a modern replica.

It is definitely possible for the replica to be old as well. However, old is a relative term. In this case the token could have been made in the '50's or '60's or anytime before or after (I feel after). As such, I would give nominal value to the token (a pound?) and feel it would be desirable to few collectors overall.
