1972 text error questions

    I'm not sure if the date and text being cut off is normal or an error and the text is thicker than my other 1972 d quarter anyone have any ideas?

    Can you show a picture of the edge. Your Quarter was probably spooned!

    Yes. Missing reeds is a good indication that it was spooned or hammered. That's why the rim look closer to the letters.
