1909 VDB MS66RB PCGS CAC Great example of this first-year type. 1928-S Large S Cent MS63RB PCGS, FS-501 Very scarce and overlooked Cherrypickers' variety. Super color on this piece, seldom seen in high grades.
Actually, I first paid a healthy premium just to get the coin, and then was offered the box at an additional premium. Suffice to say, this was not a "generic" purchase.
That's a nice SLQ. That would fit perfectly in my long term hold SLQ collection, if I could swing the price. Though, that gouge in the upper right hand quadrant is very prominent in this pic...maybe it's less obvious in hand. Hopefully, that gouge gave you a discount even with the strong date.
I picked this very nice 1943-S Mint Set up yesterday. All the coins below came from my favorite local dealer.
Last but not least, this beautiful 1888-O Morgan Dollar. She is DMPL all the way baby. I can't believe I keep finding these, they've been trickling into my favorite dealers shop over the past several months now. I don't think he really looks them over for PL/DMPL.
That thing just jumped out at me from the case. It must have been in there for only a couple hours. I'm sure if it had been in there longer it would have been gone.
