Etsy is where all the coins we say are PMD end up for sale!

I think it's like eBay where they're very careful with their wording . Like, I could list a used plastic Walmart bag on sale for $1,000 without breaking any rules.

Probably better than we do. Jettison a moral compass and everything gets easier in a hurry.

Sellers like this clown are not the ones doing serious damage to the hobby and is simply because they price themselves out of reality. As sad as it is to say, this isn't as bad as it looks.

If you can't sell it on eBay try Esty. ;)

So who do you feel is doing serious damage to the hobby?

Etsy, I don’t believe, is regarded as a serious place to look for coins. If you wish to find serious damage, go over to eBay, which has an overflowing supply of crooks trying to peddle fakes and hurting the legitimate dealers using the platform — as well as defrauding buyers.

At least ebay has some safeguards in place to protect both the seller and buyer but I don't know if etsy has that.

So where does one go to find real values of coins or if they are rare

Try to get a book called The Red Book. Published every year.

One can check on line sales but a red book by RS Yeoman is a great resource. The prices are off but at least you can get detail information and a great idea of values for about $15.00.
