I just thought cause the reverse is printed first, it might not look like that. Love to see a photo of the back.
First post here in quite some time. 1918 $5 FRBN from Cleveland. One of my favorite designs. Net graded for residue (probably a dealer's booger) on the back left margin. Still a great looking note for my large size collection.
A new pickup: Canada 1975 $50 Reminds me of when I would take trips up to Canada as a kid. I never had many of these in my pocket, but when I did I would spend them. This one I will hold on to. And for good measure, a 1954 $50 to go with it. These were scarce but still circulating when I was a kid.
How about a Zero Euro? Visited Carcassonne in 1989; fascinating place with a very interesting history. == Carcassonne link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carcassonne ==
From the Banknote World website: https://www.banknoteworld.com/zero-euro/ "What is a Zero Euro? The Zero Euro is a souvenir banknote with authorized printing by the European Central Bank (ECB) and is on queue to be a popular in 2018 banknote collector markets. It’s origins stem from France in 2015 after Richard Faille, creator of popular French currency souvenirs, decided to create euros that promote tourism. The banknotes are printed at a private fiduciary facility and they share many of the same characteristics of a real Euro except that they are marked as “0”, hence the name, and are tested to ensure they cannot enter circulation as legitimate financial currency. The front of all zero euros is the same and it includes a white zero followed by the Euro sign to denominate no financial value. Then (from left to right) Brandenburg Gate, Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum, Sagrada Familia, Manneken Pis and the Mona Lisa." Read less
Well, y'all know I am not an obsolete note collector per se, but when a beauty comes along and there seems little interest I'm sure gonna try for it. Neat things about this note: 1. American Bank Note Co. product 2. Great vignettes 3. Engraved numeral 5s 4. Contains: ships, trains for topical collectors
Looks like another obsolete just fell into the collection; found it trolling an online auction and the $$$ was really good with little to zero bidding interest.
Found new note for the "small change" collection and another from our Southern neighbor (also a "small change" member)
