1939 Jefferson Nickel Reverse of 38 GEM BU: $8.10

 

Picked these up for just over spot this week:

1964 D Type C Reverse Washington Quarter
(Note: looks like about 8,000 auto mechanics decided to put their thumbprints all over it, but I'm still keeping it as these are tough to find.)



1964 Kennedy Half (double rainbow)
(Note: Yeah, some terminal toning, especially on the obverse, but for the price still a great looking coin.)

 

I’ve looked through a lot of junk silver quarters and have yet to score a 64-D Type C. Great find!

 

I've looked through a lot too. I still can't believe I have not found one yet either. I wan't one just so I can stop looking.

 

Not mine but the father in laws. he wanted something about 30 bucks.

 

I have a couple to add here.

This one was purchased at the PNNA this last weekend. I paid $50.00 on the nose.



This one was also $50.00 on the nose.


This one I picked up for $20.00 a couple days ago, it came from my favorite local dealer. The same one I picked up the '85-O from above.

All for $4 from my coworker! Dime is a ‘41 W buffalo is unreadable, Rosey is a ‘64 P as well as the quarter, Ike is a ‘74 D and the dollar is a ‘57 B

 

The 'W' on the forty one dime is in tribute of its' designer (Weinman). Look for a mint mark on the reverse of the coin........bottom, between 'one' and 'dime' and to the left of the olive branch.

 

I forgot to add this one earlier, it was the other under $50.00 purchase from the PNNA. I paid $41.00 for it.

31 bucks, I had a hard time keeping a straight face.

 

$18 each for the silver dollars.
$3 each for the quarters
$1 for the large cent
I went in for a closer look at this strike-thru
& found something else, very interesting !
The 1878 Morgan is a reverse of 79 lowball

 

You had some great purchases there but this coin is outstanding!

I need to plan ahead and head down for that next year... sounds like a great time.

 

Picked up a couple toned Kennedy Halves in some old style advertising (plastic box, card stock holder) from a local bank. $6 each.

 

Check the stars and rays on the reverse.
You may have a couple there with the transitional (proof die) die reverse.
Same as the Accented Hair proofs.
Hard to tell for sure.
