Hi coin talk community, I found this 1985 penny while searching through some coins. My books doesnt show any known mintmark error for a 1985 D penny. It is clear that the "D" is over top another "D". I believe the mintmarks were hand punched in that year so I'm not sure how to label this error or what the value may be. Looking for some input!
When I saw the title, I thought plating bubble, but that one looks interesting. @Fred Weinberg any thoughts?
I was not familiar with CopperCoins website but now that will be a great resource for me. My coin is similar to the 001 variety just a little more of an offset. Thank you all for your help
I use CopperCoins, Variety Vista and Wexler; there are other specific sites for Lincoln cents to add to your library.
