Munich State Coin Collection

    I visited the Staatliche Münzsammlung München today. Nice exhibit of medieval and earlier coinage, as well as medals into the early 20th century. They had a display of a hoard of late 12th century coins (over 7000) that was found in Waal in 2014.

    That's quite a hoard to find, and in exceptionally good shape !
