Just got my first New Orleans gold dollar

    Very nice pickup. Of course I’m a bit partial to the New Orleans mint, I’ll be across the street from it this weekend.

    Thanks! I have mainly been collecting World gold, most in between 670BC and 1900. Lately I been getting more US material. Its seems that New Orleans. Carson City gold coinage is really tough to get in good grades (MS-64 and better) Still have to get some from Charlotte/ Dahlonega Mints.

    Very nice find! I heard smaller denomination gold coinage is harder to find (than eagles and double eagles).

    Nice! I am so jealous. I used to collect these and only sold them out of necessity. Will again someday.
