Not worth the money for your coin. You would easily pay upwards of $50 for a coin worth less than that.

Well, we can be optimists here: at least he got the date and mint right.

I don't openly talk about my experience in this hobby, but will back up what I tell you with my own money. I promise you that this person is a clown. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but this type of crap (what he's doing based upon the one email) has caused immeasurable damage to this hobby and is complete BS.

Understand there is a great deal of misleading information on line. People create a lot of fantastical and untrue things for their own manipulative reasons. Best thing you can do is appreciate the gift your grandfather gave you. Go to the bookstore and spend five bucks for the Redbook of Coins. Easy to understand and will help you to understand what made your grandfather collect coins. It’s more about the history that speaks from them and far less about the value.

Still, at this point you have to slow it down some. Skipping back and forth, here and there faster than others can respond isn't going to help anyone, unfortunately. If serious and you want to learn, you'll get the help you need. Just take your time.
