Hi Folks, was just wandering if any of my fellow collectors would be interested in getting togther sometime.Just an informal thing maybe show off a collection or favorite coin. Also, could be a way of increasing intel on certain coins people are looking for . Just an idea also thinking about asking same question at local coin shop . Thanks

Sounds great to me! I'm in northeast central Missouri. One idea I had was to maybe have lunch or dinner before or after going to the show in St. Louis next month. I have already talked to another forum member from Illinois about possibly doing it. I'm open for other ideas though. Let me know what you think.
how about we meet in downtown chicago in front of the sears tower? we could all go up and look at our coins in the bright sky we could also meet in navy pier?
Febuary 8-10. When it gets a little closer to that date I'll know what day would be the best for me to make it to that show.

I'm not that far north. I'm on the northeastern boundry of what the local (Columbia and Jefferson City) tv stations refer to as central Missouri. I'm in Audrain County, 17 miles north of where Highway 54 and I-70 meet, which is Kingdom City. Was that a confusing explanation? hehe
I would be up for a meet and greet of members of CoinTalk. Saint Louis shows would probably be the easiest for everyone to find, and would allow for the shared interest we have. SapperNurse, read your blog, interesting. You and I share many common things, like EMS, Firefighting, working in a hospital, JCAHO, and other points. My wife is the RN, me, just an X-paramedic who now does other hosptial related tasks. So, there is a coin show in Saint Louis August 15th, 16th and 17th, at Saint Charles in the Saint Charles Exhibition hall.
Hello folks, great to see the interest in a get togther . I live between Jeff City and STL on hwy 50 about an hour from Jeff an hour from Stl and about an hour and a half from FLW. So a meet at a show would work or figure out a central spot between us and have a meet . I'm pretty flexible whatever works out best for all. Who knows this could turn into a pretty neat thing
Well, I'm pretty sure I'll be at the St. Louis show (Feb.8-10) on saturday the 9th. I had already planned to attend this show, so if any of you can make it and sit down and chat for a bit that would just be an added bonus! And hey, maybe you can help me find the 1916-S Walker I'll be looking for, lol.

Hey you guys. You missed out on a great day. Lunch and then the show. More of us should try to get together next time there is a show in St. Louis.
Yes, Adam and I had a great time together. You all really did miss out. The show was great. There were about 110 dealers and lots of coins to choose from. The show was really pretty busy with a lot of traffic, which is great because they'll keep bringing it back then. Steak and Shake for lunch was downright good too!
