Hi all, just wondering your thoughts on this coin. Could this be doubled or is it doubling? Or something else. Thank you for your input.

I think that some of what you see is the angle in which the light is reflecting off of the devices, (letters). the coin could be suffering from some split plate doubling.

Well this coin is doubled so to speak. What your coin exhibits is what is known as Die Deterioration Doubling. In the case of your coin it presents itself as shadow doubling of the plating around any or all of the lettering, numbering or devises (coin design). It adds no extra value as it is a NON error.
    Hope this helps.
    Reed.

@352sdeer I was also thinking some DDD. but the lighting artifact coming from the L told me that there was probably some loose copper plating, Doesn't Die deterioration effect all devices, as the die progresses?
