So I found this coin last night hunting through a 5 gallon water jug full of pennies. I think it may match up with the 1985 DDO-001 listed here: http://varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/1985PDDO001.htm The die scratches on the lower reverse seem to match up, particularly the one coming off the top left portion of the N in CENT. Can anyone with more experience confirm that this is correct or if I'm losing my mind. I apologize for the large number of pics and glare in some of them. I really need to figure out the lighting thing better or invest in a better scope. As always, thanks for any feedback.
I was reading another post just now about how someone posted a thread and no one responded. It reminded me of this one I posted months ago that was buried amongst parking lot cent threads and incoherent ramblings by someone who was obviously intoxicated while posting. I personally wasn't upset but just posted it in another popular online coin forum to get my answers. Several others confirmed this is the 1985 DDO-001 and I just wanted to update this thread so it might help someone in the future researching possible 1985 DDO's. It's a very minor doubled die and only really worth a couple bucks if that. I know I use the search bar function in the upper right hand corner here a lot when researching coins so I wanted to update this in case others do too.
