    Hey Folks,

The eBay Seller that sent me the altered coin instead of the coin I won, is back at it again and apparently looking to screw someone else! After filing the PayPal Dispute against him and him having to reimburse all of my funds as well as getting the Negative Feedback from me, you think that he would have learned a lesson but apparently not. I am going to report him to eBay and hope you all will follow suit.

i love this in his description :

This item has NO RETURNS! I sold this item and took a return from an unhappy buyer accusing me of sending a different coin than pictured.

    :D :D :D wow!

This may sound like a dumb question and it probably is. But thats ok, I do that alot.

in his feedback rebuttal towards you he stated "Buyer got coin as pictured, not happy, recieved a full refund, no return rec'vd"

Now if thats the case how is he selling it again?

I might just bid on it so I can neg him when he does it to me. : )

Report him for what? Until you receive the wrong coin (again?), what has he done wrong?

For the folks that have not seen the Thread concerning the problem with this Seller, the link is below!

    rlm,

It's not about what he has done concerning the current Auction, it's about what he will more than likely do when it closes and the Winning Bidder/Buyer pays for the coin! Since he has a history of using this coin in an Auction then pulling a switcharoo with an altered coin, he will more than likely do it again. Note: I sent the altered coin back to him on 12/28/07 and the USPS attempted delivery on 12/31/07 and left him a notice that he needed to pick it up or it would be returned to the Sender (me). I warned him that he needed to pick the coin up from the Post Office and that if it was returned to me, that I was no longer responsible for returning the coin to him and I would not pay to send it back again. I believe that he thought that he could pull some scam again, saying that he did not receive the coin and would try to file a counter Dispute with PayPal but I had all of my bases covered. By the way, he did not pick up the coin from the Post Office until 01/10/08, go figure!

If eBay let's the Auction run and the transaction complete, I would love to see what the Winning Bidder/Buyer gets in the mail from this Seller. If he pulls the same old switcharoo and the Winning Bidder/Buyer catches this and has paid via PayPal, then I hope that they file another Dispute through PayPal against him and don't let him get off!

I understand what he did. He may do it again. But you said "I am going to report him to eBay and hope you all will follow suit." What can I report him for? Or even what did you report him for? Because you believe he is going to do something wrong?

And eBay has no choice but to let the auction run. He has done nothing wrong with this auction. The fact that he did something wrong last time does not mean that this time he will do the same.

Hope the potential buyers pick up on his little slip here. How can he be selling the coin again that he states was never returned in his feedback. Hmm.

The two coins - the one Frank supposedly recieved and the new eBay auction are the same. They each have the same scratches on Lincoln's cheek. IMO this guy is a scam, but I may be wrong.

Man, and the real sad part about it, is that looks like a new possible DDO! I don't know, but it does look like it. Do you still have pics of the altered coin Frank? If so, I think you might still have something on him. I don't understand how some people can look at themselves in the mirror.

If you knew what the poor mans dd looked like, you never would have bought that coin..Only the last 5 is slightly doubled. I would'nt buy from him just looking at his feedback. 98% stinks.

    rlm,

I understand where you are coming from and questioning as to what you can report him for! He has done nothing to you and I can see why you would not want to report the item. I did report the item and noted to eBay exactly what went down concerning my transaction with him including the eBay item number as well as the PayPal Dispute that I had to file including the Case number.
