Is it against Cointalk Rules to have a Listing for Bad....Wrong Coin.....Item not as described list for everyone here on CoinTalk to avoid when buyinig on Ebay? It would not exclude Seller's that are falsifying there item or description whether you bought or not. It wouldn't be limited to but not exclude other websites that you have bought coins from or viewed there items for sale. Rhubarb
I would think with the # of member's here on CT that a list should be compiled for bad Ebayer's. I also would suggest that a good list be made. Everone here at one point and time has been (for lack of a better word) "Screwed" at one time or another by a fraudulant dealer or so callled dealer. It includes the Seller's that you can spot a mile away. The Newbee's here should know the difference in what a good coin and a bad coin should be. Don't you think? My bad ebayer is this person who doesn't know the difference from a Error coin vs. a Machine Doubling, Strike Doubling or any other type doubling that may exist. This is a good hobby but it up to people here and other forum's to inform member what is an what is not a good coin vs. a good coin dealer or a bad coin dealer. I haven't been a member of this Forum very long buy it seems to me that alot of member's are buying a coin that is either fake, altered, or not even the coin they bidded on. Any comment's and buyer's are welcome to submit there Reply. Bad coin Dealer: http://stores.ebay.com/ritascreations3_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkm Rhubarb
My first point is: Can we make "Ebay" problems a separate "forum" on CT? Just like "Coin Chat" or "Paper Money". This way, people who are concerned about that can monitor and post to that forum. I'm finding a LOT of e-bay stuff in the general forums and it just seems to be getting worse. Personally, I find the posts and the e-bays listings entertaining. BUT, I probably wouldn't check a "E-bay" forum very regularly because it really doesn't interest me. I guess I'm talking about cleaning up the regular forums. Second Point: Gotta be real, real careful about who is a "bad" seller. Anyone who has sold on e-bay can get a "Neg". For no reason. And if it happens to be from a CT member - all of a sudden, there's a whole thread about that auction. Heck, one of the biggest posters here on CT came because he felt he had been ripped off by a CT member.
