eBay question...

Hopefully I can explain this question clearly:
I have a bunch of saved searches on certain eBay sellers.. for example the good seller frascatius, sort by "ending soonest", save that Search and when I click on that link I get the results for that seller - sorted by items ending first. Obviously this is easy to set up and use...
My question is: if you have a few sellers that you like to check.. can you set up a single search to see one list of "ending soonest" from multiple sellers?

Just looking for a way to clear out the eBay junk and spend less time on that site... it gets tiring.

    Any pointers are appreciated.

Justin Lee I learn by doing

I tried putting "seller:frascatius seller:victor_clark seller:kendorney" and it doesn't combine them and show their inventory... was hoping it would. I often spend my free time on the bus scrolling through my saved sellers lists (76), filter on ancient coins and sort by ending soonest (mostly), putting interesting and desired coins in my Watch List for more focused review and tracking. I prefer using my phone as it shows the number of items the seller is selling before clicking on them, where the desktop version does not... some of the sellers in my list don't keep regular inventory (ebb & flow).

This may or may not help you, but it can (or could) be done programmatically through the eBay API. I wrote a program, back around the turn of millennia when I used eBay a lot, to do exactly what you are proposing.

Yea, thats me. I dont list much there, only irregularly. I was selling on Ebay when they were first created (back when they used e-mails as user ID's, and of course AOL is long defunct, or maybe it was Prodigy, or Compuserve I was using back then?). Back then it was easy to add or subtract from a search string, but now Ebay is focused primarily on maximum exposure, so I dont think one can add or subtract very easily. It might be that you have to use individual search strings and bookmark each. It may be a hassle, but that might be how its done now.

Personally, I just keep multiple tabs open, or better yet, work on my phone and computer at the same time. I really only rarely ever have to, as most of my favorite sellers have a set time preference that rarely overlaps.

Back then eBay was the Wild West. Bidders usernames were visible to all and some members would threaten others to stop bidding on an item they wanted. Feedback would be held hostage for various reasons either for discounts or other benefits. eBay had rules stating you couldn’t sell bootlegged items, but someone would list a stick of gum for auction and include those bootlegs for “free” and it was allowed. Raffles occurred for expensive items that were never rewarded. Truly a buyer beware landscape.

Sorry to derail I was hoping to hear of a quick solution because I’d like to know too.
