I guess you don't own a business and/or never learned that time = money. The time you supposedly spent was more valuable than the money you supposedly saved. I was rooting for you at first, but now I hope you have a regular strike (pretty sure it is anyway). You are probably the most consistently annoying person on here, and I must admit I can't unwatch this thread as all the comments are entertaining. And if you are right and I am wrong, who cares? I have the exact same net worth either way. And I have to concede your point that I am an idiot, because when you argue with one, it becomes impossible for others to tell the difference.

Appreciate the Byers link, that is the only one I have seen so far.
(Silver war nickel struck on a cu-ni planchet.)
He mistakenly calls it a transitional error. It can't be since it's a 1944 and they were still minting silver nickels in 1943 and 1945. It's off metal but it's not transitional.
In my limited understanding, transitional could only be 1942-P or 1942-S or 1943-D on copper-nickel, or, any 1946 on war nickel planchet. Since those are the following years after a metal transition.
Yours would be transitional and off metal if it comes back copper-nickel.

Have you sent this coin in yet? If you have, I hope you score a nice catch.

If you haven’t, tell us when you do and quit insulting other members. This has been going on since last November and it seems everyone is sick of hearing about it.

I do not insult anyone that does not give it to me first. no one can say otherwise. if you go back to the OP I was asking about the TEST I had done... NOT the coin. I wanted to know how accurate the TEST is. I am not the one that went off into left field and got off subject. even now, people are going and going like the energizer bunny. but I think 1 MAYBE 2 actually answered my question. so whoever took the matter off subject...blame them.

Haven't been here for several days.

Section 9 doesn't look too hard
Line 1 Quantity =1, Date = 1942 S, Denomination = five cents, Variety = Appears to be struck on non-silver planchet, Variety attribution = check mark, Declared value = up to you.

The other columns don't need to be filled out.

He got the rush job and apparently PCGS slabbed it. See below.

I can tell that's a bogus PCGS label,
as I don't have that many characters
to use in describing any error !

(in fact, it's almost exactly double
the characters/spaces that can be used)

.....and I caught the BS instead of E on the last line

....other than that, good job !

Our pal hasn’t been on since Sunday to “UPDATE” us again. Is he gone or just waiting another six months to “UPDATE” us again?
