I've seen at least 100 ads for a Peace Dollar that was actually a Morgan Dollar. They are easy to tell apart, the Peace Dollar is the eye pleasing apex of early 20th century art and the Morgan Dollar is the one that looks like a bloated corpse in the noon day sun.
Oh! I've never been so insulted in my life! (Well, maybe my wife didn't exactly respect me when she caught me coming out of the shower) I'll have you know the Morgan is the height of classical art! So take it back, you cad!
She'd have to be able to spell. She ain't getting through this life with those looks alone. The reason there are so many high grade Morgans is because nobody wanted to touch them. If you'd get one, you'd just chuck it into a closet and pray to forget about it. Not the kind of coin you want to flash in public.
Wrong. The peace dollar has an obverse showing a Miss Liberty with ratty hair and an "Oops, I just wet myself." look on her face and a reverse with a skinny crow on it. The Morgan has a strong- jawed Philadelphia school teacher who looks like a Philadelphia school teacher on the obverse and on the reverse is the most magnificent eagle ever displayed on a U.S. coin.
It's pretty bad that they'd label it wrong tho. I mean the name of the coin is literally how you'd describe what the coin looks like.
I'm guessing you had a crush on a Philadelphia school teacher at one point. The eagle on the back of the Morgan looks like the avian equivalent of a flasher. Regardless, it is clear that you don't like the concept of Peace and you are worse than Hitler.
@V. Kurt Bellman. Kurt went to school in Philly back then. Wonder what her real name was? Go Eagles. She looks more like the new Flyers mascot
Dood, I love when people sling the dudeage around... I also like these little eBay tidbits: "air guitar, actual" Dress appropriately... Hasn't this happened to us all?
Don’t you DARE take it back, Gregg. You have done the hardest thing - speaking truth to fanbois. The Morgan has nothing going for it. But then, there’s another problem. The way they were struck, the typical Peace dollar is no beauty either. Good design, not that well executed in too many dates.
Thank you Kurt. As you well know it is a difficult and lonely task to be a voice of reason on these forums.
