    Check out THIS auction listing

Is this a loophole in the system that does not allow for grading of coins except by the "Chosen Ones" in the descriptions?

I sent an email to ebay to enlighten me.

Putting the grade in the photo is clearly a violation of the intent of the policy. Whether ebay considers it an actual violation will be interesting to see.

Clever, pretty clever, gotta give him chops for that. Interesting to see what ebay does about it. Wonder if the kitties come with the coin? :D

There is nothing again st eBay rules about putting a grade in the description. It is specifically INCLUDED. It may not be used in the title.

Just got this email from ebay

    Dear eBay Member,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to this potentially prohibited item.

We will review your report and check to see if there are any eBay policy violations.

If we determine that a listing or members behavior violates eBay policy, we may take one or more of the following actions:

    - Send the member an informational alert
    - Remove the listing
    - Suspend the member

Generally, we only suspend an account if a member has repeatedly disregarded our policies. Because of our Privacy Policy, we cannot share more specific information with you about another member's account or the actions we take. This policy protects all eBay members and ensures that your personal account history will always remain private.

That is a form letter you get for every report you make. Translation, it says nothing.

Will be interesting to see what the results are.

In the meantime I checked out several of the auctions with NAC holders.

Geez what overgraded garbage! Will be starting a thread on that shortly.

I would be willing to bet nothing happens. The numeric grade is not in the title nor is the grading company mentioned.

Im not sure what you guys mean, Ive seen countless auctions with the slab right there in the picture with the grade pictured as well.

Which picture in the listing are you guys referring too, im interested....

    Thanks!

The comments were referring to the thumbnail picture you see in the list view when multiple items are being displayed . Here's a sample.

Oh, I see, thats against policy eh??

But a picture inside the auction listing of the slab is perfectly legal right?

Thanks for clearing that up dreamer.
