Wow....you pics look much better than the ebay pics. Looks like a DMPL from your pics. Nice purchase!
Let me second that! Man, I think you did real nice. Would this warrant a DMPL? Either way, a pretty sweet Morgan, are you going to make that your new avatar? Phoenix
PCGS requires the coin to have at least 6 inches of reflectivity on both side to be called DMPL. ANACS has a tier called UDM (ultra deep mirror) that requires 12+ inches of CLEAR reflectivity. The reverse of this one has 13 inches clear, and the obverse has only 10 :desk: Sooooooo close too. Oh well, it will get DPL or DMPL from NGC or PCGS.
Cody, I think we can agree it's a dmpl, but the gash on her cheek is really going to knock the grade hard If YOU know it's a dimple, unless the slab means that much to you, I would suggest putting the $40 ( slab and shipping) in your budget for coins....$40 is not going to improve the coin at all JMO
Yeah, if the gash wasn't there, it would have been a solid 65. It has a really nice strike for a coin from the big easy.
It IS a nice coin. An Airtite would save you some bucks for something else and your '84 O would be protected. Bruce
Cody- I am just curious. Why would you get it slabbed? With your purchase price and the likely grade of MS63DM, would the coin then be worth the total you put into it? In other words, you did pretty good so far and picked up a bargain. Wouldn't you be giving away your potential profits to the graders? Please note that I mean this respectfully and I am not doubting you. I am just a greedier guy, I imagine! Mike
