    For the Draped Bust Coinage, there is no archival evidence that a portrait or drawing of Anne Willing Bingham was used. This was only speculation by Don Taxay in his 1966 book The U.S. Mint and Coinage, and has unfortunately been stated as fact since that time, without factual evidence.
