Why does CoinWorld not work in Google's Chrome? I sometimes try to click on links like this, but I'm met with a blank screen. Is it a Chrome problem? Is it a CoinWorld problem? I suppose I don't really care, but it's slightly annoying in threads like this.
Yes, it works in IE. But I despise IE and refuse to use it. It does not work in my Chrome. Is the problem on CoinWorld's website, or in Chrome's browser?
I had Windows 7 until my old machine died. I skipped 8 because everyone said it sucked. My new machine has 10, and I've been completely unimpressed. Either way, I know that "Edge" replaced IE - its the same damn crappy thing, they just renamed it to lure suckers back in. The 95% of people who don't give a damn will just use whatever is pre-installed. Normally, Chrome is better. I just don't understand why it won't load CoinWorld for me.
I'm thinking CoinWorld is the one that won't work in Safari when I try to follow a link from Coinflation. When I try, I just get a giant (full-page) Facebook share icon. I have to copy the address and open it in Firefox to read the article. But I just now tried going to CoinWorld directly in Safari, and it seemed fine. I get really annoyed when I run into something like this. Yeah, I understand that fancy or subtle Web-page behavior is hard to get right across all browsers. But if you've got a site that won't even open in one of the Big Four browsers (Chrome, IE, Safari, Firefox), you need to fire your Web developer. Or hire one.
Some ad blockers confuse real content with advertising and zap it. You could try white listing coinworld.com and see what happens, if you are, in fact, running an ad blocker. Regarding Liberty, we've got a new Flowing Hair design! No, I don't collect them either.
Thanks for that suggestion. I've been having the same problem, Coin World links just gave a white screen. Turned off the adblocker and it come up just fine. It apparently sees the Coin World website as one big ad.
I guess the biggest thing is the medals will now be 2.5 oz of silver instead of 1 oz. Which is great because now the mint will be charging 3x the premium lol
Love the idea of a 2.5 oz American Liberty silver medal. But I'm wary. For starters, not a fan of the proposed resurrected designs. And don't get me started on the whole process of modern U.S. coin design. Legislative mandates, committee reviews, political correctness... it's a miracle if we see a stunning design. Regardless, if it's over-produced and over-priced, I'm out.
