The three coins together cost me around a buck or two. Here is an SMS note the three colors on this coin. Not too different from the same three on my coin. Yes the pattern is different.
No, you misunderstand me. The "rainbow" and the "greens" you mention are what differentiate your NT coins from this AT coin. Manila flips are perfectly acceptable, and known to cause the colors you mention. Compared to the single-shade AT monster that this thread is about!
I guess I'll repeat it again: your coin exhibits one shade, with absolutely zero variation across either side of the coin (except for the highly suspicious and damning spot). Exactly the same color. Yeah, that color is the same color that appears on other coins. But the appearance is completely different. Look at this coin here - the purple is mixed in with blues, reds, oranges.... it is not the exact same shade over the entire surface of the obverse and reverse. Even the purply areas are variegated - as compared to your coin which is THE EXACT SAME SHADE IN ALL AREAS OF THE OBVERSE AND REVERSE. This just doesn't happen with a naturally toned coin.
I just want to be clear no one is arguing with you. I see your points, and agree with them. What I am saying is that the colors are correct. When someone induces color to a coin don't they usually come in off color tones? I thoroughly agree that this coin looks At. And exactly why I started a thread. I like to Pick folks brains for their knowledge.
Thanks, PG. It has not been clear, until now. But now, we can agree. Just because you see one color that is correct, doesn't mean the toning is correct. The opposite is also true - if I see a color that is not correct, that means the rest of the toning is incorrect.
