Before you jump and down too much, see if you can pick it up with a magnet. Just to be sure its not a fake.
Keep that magnet in your tool box the next time you go to buy silver. Silver doesn't stick to a magnet.

I have one as well, here are the photos of mine if someone has a clue the value or what I should look up.
I see a SM under the eagle, so I would venture to guess that's a piece produced by the sunshine mint.
I've got quite a few of these. I purchased them from AmPex as Silver Bullion. They were minted by the Highland Mint in Florida. Mine have initials on the Obverse "HM". Here's a listing on ebay for a couple of them for sale for about $35.
