These appear to date from 2005. NCII is still in business at the same phone # and the president is named Lawrence. I've reached out via LinkedIn to see if he'll share the story.
a long time ago when I first joined CT there was a guy that would say "Accugrade Spit Spit". lol my guess is he did not like their grading on their slabs. I also remember a story of a guy that had a double denomination dime/cent in a Accugrade slab and swore up and down his coin was worth $10,000. I am guessing $5,000 from my recent searches on Ebay.
That's a cool find! And your obsession with ACG is perfectly normal, but I'm a bit biased in saying that.
By the way, @Burton Strauss III did you ever have the desire to create your own slab (maybe one licensed from ACG)?
