How can these be a mint set when to me the coins look like EDITED: Language! and that they have been Circulated?
Dude.. Watch your language! This set was put together using circulated coins. But it's not a US Mint product.
It also doesn't claim to be a mint set. It shows four coins and identifies the mint each of them is from.
The bigger mystery is why, in 1936, did buffaloes walk right-to-left and now, in 2005, buffaloes walk left-to-right. They're not even buffaloes. So, in summary, why did the bison cross the road?
It just states that they are authentic coins.. Really means nothing. You can see with your own eyes they are real. They just add fancy certificates to make the item look as if it's something valuable.. There's 20 Cents of nickels and that's all.
Consider it a learning opportunity. There are many, many "SETS" put together by companies trying to separate the new collector from their money. The Certificate means nothing. All they said was that the coins are genuine (they are) and in collectable condition (who knows what this means). Notice there's NOTHING that specifically says it's from the mint. Classic maneuver for these "collectable". It's always a good day when you learn something. My recommendation is to go have a beer and celebrate. (or maybe )
