Looks like it's gold plated? Was counting coins and this one doesn't look like all the other dimes. Any help would be appreciated!
Hi Autumn. Welcome to CT. What you have there is a common dime that has worked mighty hard for almost fifty years. Worn, stained and maybe even spent some time dropped and exposed to the elements. Just an old dime that has worked hard.
Keep in mind the average life expectancy of a dime is only 25 years. Your dime has endured for almost double that length of time. It's common to find older ones like this to have interesting characteristics and personalities because, as Randy has said and alluded to, they have generally worked hard and seen a lot by the time they've made their way to you.
